On June 11, the loved ones and allies of people who were deported traveled from Ohio, Maryland, and Virginia to take part in a press conference and congressional visits on Capitol Hill. The event was organized by the Ohio Immigrant Alliance and Center for Law and Social Policy. The message was simple — people who were deported wanted to be SEEN and HEARD in the immigration debate.
