And, take action on April 6 using this terrific toolkit from the Mauritania TPS Working Group!
The United Nations estimates that as many as 680,000 people are currently enslaved in Mauritania. Other human rights abuses, including state-sanctioned violence and torture, land-grabbing, mass food insecurity, and COVID-19 make safe return to the country impossible.
TPS/DED is needed NOW to safeguard Mauritanians in the US. #ReuniteUS (return after deportation), asylum and court reform, and universal access to counsel in Immigration Court round out the package of demands–until “another Mauritania is possible,” as Houleye Thiam says.
Join us – attend the webinar and take action using this toolkit on April 6th!
